:)

I'm going to write in this now instead of doing an entry in my socialist theory intellectual journal....

I've been super busy.... lots of shooting, trapezing, and paper writing.
this picture is from years ago...but accurate:

My friend Witt and I are training a double still trapeze act together and so far its going great...we have a good rythm together and both of us are pretty fearless when it comes to trying new stuff so we've been putting together some cool moves...

that is what one doubles move looks like, other stuff involves hanging off each other...
Last night I caught my splits and through a pretty decent layout so I'm happy about that...

In terms of school, I turned in my SEX, GENDER, AND THE BIBLE paper the other day...among other things about how in orthodox juddaic rabbinic tradition women were punished for eve by being banned from torah and so considered unable to control their sexual desires so not allowed to study torah so not able to control so not allowed....in a vicious cycle. hopefully i'll get that back on thursday.

Last thursday night I modeled for one of the seniors in the photo department...she needed a small flexible person to stand upside down and then hang from someones waist. Honestly, I had a lot of fun at the shoot becuase it was a bunch of friends. It was fun to do all sorts of bendy stuff too....

Friday we went to a crazy party in brooklyn which was tons of fun and then on sunday it was jackie's bday and we had pumpkin pie and then monday was no school which is always good. I had a lot of stuff at the trapeze school over the weekend though, so no crazy crazy partying for me!

The most exciting thing that has happened recently is that....I GOT A BIKE!! One of the guys that I work with had an extra and just gave it to me...he is the nicest guy who is dating an NYU professor and wouldn't let me give him any money for it (he said he really just needed somewhere to store it until the summer when his nephew uses it). Last night, my friend Rob and I rode all around the financial district...there were no cars out and it was great to see nyc at night from a bike. I think tonight we are going to ride down the west side highway to 35th street and then ride back. I still plan on walking to classes (until it gets super cold) because I like the slow walk to wake me up...but it will be nice to be able to bike to Union Square to see my friends instead of waiting for the bus or walking. I also plan to use it for just getting around the city, getting to work (its a 30 minute walk), and exploring. Its nice because I wouldn't walk around chinatown by myself too much at night, but I wouldn't really worry on a bike :). Its not too pretty..not one of those cool vintage bikes that the hipsters ride....but really, what do I care as long as it gets me where I need to go? So yeah... I LOVE having a bike.

I've got to prepare for my photoshoot that is happening on Thursday tonight and do some reading, etc. Now I'll head back to the socialist theory...
