someone stole my car in brooklyn in front of my house and the steering wheel had a Club on it. someone else broke into my garage in brooklyn and stole a very expensive racing bike. someone else smashed the side window of my Infiniti G20 and stole the airbag. worst of all, someone I thought was a friend stole a Bloomie's credit card out of my wallet and charged $1000 on it. welcome to nyc.
"The basis of shame is not some personal mistake of ours, but the ignominy, the humiliation we feel that we must be what we are without any choice in the matter, and that this humiliation is seen by everyone."
-Milan Kundera
